Playing for Change Day September 23, 2017
The Playing for Change Saskatchewan project was established in 2012 to host and support Playing for Change Day. It is a Local Program Partnership between Blue Sky Cultural Connections and the PFC Foundation and is a non profit grassroots event. Performers at the event perform with the understanding that it is donated time and talent they are giving. We very much appreciate our performers and do our best to support and promote them and allow the selling of merchandise. The money we raise from donations goes towards supporting the Playing for Change Music Schools and to programs for Saskatchewan youth.
Our focus this year is to include more child and youth performers, diverse multi-cultural performances, and collaborations between artists (including mixing genres, spoken word poets, dancers, visual arts, etc.) If you have children or youth that you would like to perform with, we welcome their inclusion.
Thank you for your interest. Although we want to include as many performers as possible, due to scheduling limitations and programming considerations we may not be able to accommodate everyone who applies. We encourage past performers to apply, however we also want to create space for new performers to get involved in PFC Day 2017. There are other opportunities throughout the year for performers to lend their time and talents in support of the Playing for Change Foundation.
Performance applications must be submitted by August 19.
